There are lots of reasons to volunteer for Lakes PTO. Connect with your child's elementary school in a meaningful way, expand their educational experiences, meet fellow parents (aka future friends!) and more. We'd love to have you on our team!

COMMUNITY SERVICE
Contribute to some great causes & efforts
๐ STAFF APPRECIATION
Help show our Lakes staff how grateful we are for their dedication to our kiddos. This team plans thoughtful & themed activities or gifts each month throughout the school year.ย ย
๐ CULTURAL ARTS EVENTS
Develop fun, engaging & interactive activities for students during the year. This team has flexibility to plan something unique each year, making it an exciting & creative opportunity.
๐ HAND2HAND
Help students give back to local peers. This team helps plan and support students with a month-long food drive, culminating with a school-wide food packing event benefitting Hand2Hand.
๐ CARES CLOSET
This team will help stock and manage Lakesโ supply closet of donated items for students in need, such as weather-appropriate clothing, undergarments, toiletries and more.
๐ BUSINESS OUTREACH
Do you love making connections between local businesses and the community they serve? Help our business outreach efforts to secure donations for PTO events and activities.ย ย
COMMUNITY EVENTS
Support fun, engaging & educational events
๐ ROOM PARENTS
These liaisons between teachers, parents and the PTO help plan, organize and attend fun holiday parties or activities for their studentโs classroom that take place during the school year.
๐ DONUTS WITH GROWNUPS
Help plan or volunteer at the first Lakes family event of the year! Donuts and cider are served to Lakes families and staff, allowing everyone to connect at the beginning of the school year.
๐ LAKES-A-PALOOZA
Help plan or volunteer at the biggest Lakes family event of the year! This team works together to secure food, games, entertainment and more for this Spring event - maximizing fun for all attendees!
๐ POPCORN DAYS
Make and distribute popcorn to students & staff at this 1x monthly event. Volunteers personally deliver popcorn to classroom(s) of choice- a great way to surprise your kiddo!
๐ FIFTH GRADE CELEBRATION
Calling all fifth grade parents! This team works together to plan memorable end-of-year events, activities and swag to celebrate the end of fifth gradersโ elementary experience.ย

Meetings are held four times per year and open to everyone. No prior participation or sign-up needed. We value feedback as we plan, organize and execute activities.
